Blazer & Grunge

There's no real handbook to life. No body's advice is really on point to yours and we cannot but help make the same mistakes once in a while. Heavy hearts are in abundance out there. While we might have a pain or two myself included, I cant help but think of others to make myself feel like I don't have it bad at all. There are a few things that have nothing to do with sentiments but that always up my spirits. That is lose and Grunge! Better if put together and in Denim structured with a light blazer done!
I live in destroyed boyfriend jeans and lose tops. Those who know me are usually complaining about how tiny I am swimming in these pieces, but a girl cant help it. This top is so simple yet it has a little twist that I absolutely loved! (Marshall's find) It's slit all the way up to the waist in a way in which isn't that obnoxious. Paired perfectly with the no fail jean and you are out the door! DON'T FORGET THE BLAZER!!!
Yes and suddenly our hearts see a little light. Hey for some might be a beer for some of us is a good outfit...

All Black Everything

Don't we all know of that one outfit that works every time. No need for the latest trend or the most expensive of pieces, if it's kept simple and neutral it will most definitely work. As for me, and I would say everyone out there, the outfit is all black with something Denim. Weather you go with a black maxi and a denim vest, or black leggings and a chambray shirt. The concept is the same these two are such good lovers they'll always make you feel good. Currently I've been more into the high waisted  pant. I'm not sure if this is considered a trend since we've always had them, but they are comfy and I love them! This was a nice little change from my usual stripes and combat boots, which you would know what I'm talking about if you're following me on Instagram! So get to it people's!!!
So aside from the dreadful news that hit me this week of my favorite Starbucks coffee being discontinued (rest in coffee heaven Hazelnut Macciatto) I'd say it's been a pretty dam good beginning of a week. Thank you for strolling by!!!

Faux Fur

Late nights talking to friends about horrible after pregnancy stories and I have nothing on my mind fashion related... (so sorry). The only thing I can think about is how totally grateful I am for having Reyli naturally and easy even the aftermath was kinda not so hard or freakish as others have told me it has been for them. Well, minus the cracking of the nipples and Reyli starting to shit through his back! Any who totally unrelated and such but just a little crazy before bed.
Now on to this look, I have been obsessing over this faux fur infinity scarf for a while and finally got it on camera. The color is lovely and very versatile. Specially with my usual color palette of grays and neutrals. Everything about this makes me happy and comfy. It adds a certain level of chic-ness that elevates the look just enough from office to drinks out with the girls. No need for fuzzy coats in California!
Thank you for reading hope you enjoy the weekend!!!

  XO SURY.

Grays for Winter

Here we go! How fun is this little gray cape of mine? Well it's not really a cape but I like to call it that haha! I have had this forever and rarely even used it, why? It beats me it's super cool and versatile specially for California weather since it's never really super cold here. The quarter sleeve keeps me from suffocating! And the color goes with everything. Neutral is usually my go to they're timeless pieces that will just move with you into any season. No need for new clothes unless you're really into the trend. On this occasion we spend the day at Downtown Riverside looking at the lights festival and it was crazy windy! This turtle neck little sweater I got at Forever21 for supper cheap considering the thickness of it. Any who they're predicting a bit of rain in the next few days I hope you enjoy it along with this Outfit!

New Year, New Gray!

Here's to the first post of the year!! Writing with positive vibes and sending you all good positive energy. Because New Year's signify new beginnings and we all need clean slates, so cheers to you and I starting off January on the right side. I have so many plans for this new year that I can hardly contain myself! Mostly is just about working on myself... and I know y'all probably don't want to hear the same old "New Year New Me" BS but it's really not like that at all. I believe we can all improve and better our self's while still keeping our true self. However there is always room for improvement in everything we do. From the way we behave to the things we do just for fun. For example this year I am giving away too many compliments, why you might ask? Well, I want to surround myself with positive energy and most important positive people and what you put out there you become! So continue reading you Awesome Human you!!
Second I will forgive more, this doesn't necessarily mean my heart will forget, but it goes like this: The only people who deserve a permanent place in your head are those who deserve a permanent place in your heart. Regardless I shall try best.
Third I will Love anyone and everything probably too much until I've realized its not worth it. Still I shall give it the benefit of the doubt.
Lastly I shall actually Do and too much of everything. If that even made sense, but for example: Even the little things like laugh too much, I shall Do the dance, I shall Do the homework, I will study too much, and I will eat more of the green foods!
So there is my little mantra I hope it works out for you and I, I hope that great things come our way this year with hard work, dedication, and positivity everything is possible!!!

Now on to this super chic look, this was actually the dress I wore for Christmas Eve and just threw on my Ruby Woo and I was set. I was so happy when we were invited to another get together and still was able to rock it in a more subtle way minus the red lip. Gray is usually my go to color, its so neutral I can just add anything I can possibly think of. So this is my take on minimalism which I will master by the end of this year! Hope you all like it remember to follow all my social media platforms for more pics and opportunity to chat me up!!!

Sweater Weather

This little outfit was taken a few days before this wk of rain down poured L.A  but thank you Baby Jesus for this rain we are in desperate need of it! Even though the rain is still going on you can totally rock this ensemble since it never really gets freezing cold here. Just maybe you'd like to ditch the glasses if  anything and even then never mind I usually keep them because when it pours outside I give my face a breather so it's a no makeup day.
Nothing is ever new these days and this outfit, I've pulled from the dozens of ways to put a sweater together or at the very least to make it look put together Hehe! Here it is throw a blazer on it! I'm always looking for the simplest form of classic or chic I don't ever have the time to complicate my life and think about how something is going to look. I want and need to be sure it'll look good and I'll be comfortable. This outfit does all of it, its cozy, classic and comfy.
These are my three C's to dress by!!!

Thank you for stopping by and reading a bit!

Dinner Ready

Can we be anymore exited for the Holidays or what??? It's happening guys and they're coming so fast we'll soon be like did I just eat all that? Even worse, "Have we  been eating tamales for a month already?" Lol well the inevitable is coming and we will love it! Even more so we will love the opportunity to get a little dolled up Yay!
Now for the first of those Q & A's this one was pretty easy and I loved that you guys loved the sweater post I did a few days back. My sweet friend asked if I could put an outfit together with another sweater for a dinner party and Voila! I hope you guys like it!
This sweater thing is becoming a bit of an obsession to me and so convenient. They're pulled together and you will never be cold! So please try and show me DM if your shy or #itssurystyle so I can see.
Always Big thanks for stopping by
